The answer to the July Competition is 102 creatures. 
There are 34 of each kind.
As there are the same number of each creature, for every ant, spider and mouse we have 18 legs.
612 ÷ 18 = 34 of each creature.
Which gives a total of 34 x 3 = 102 creatures.
