Whole Earth Dark Chocolate Spread, listed as approved Parev on p.42 of The Really Jewish Food Guide 2012, has changed formulation and is now approved kosher Dairy.

Due to a packaging error, old packaging has been used for some Tate & Lyle sugar. Nevertheless, all Tate & Lyle Granulated and Caster Sugar (1kg or 500g packs) bearing the KLBD logo are kosher certified for Passover - כשר לפסח, even though not bearing a KLBD-P (Kosher for Passover) logo.

Please be aware that the KLBD has no control over the stocking of the 'Kosher for Passover' products in supermarkets. When purchasing products for Pesach from any non-supervised establishment, you are advised to check that each and every item bears a reliable kosher l'Pesach hechsher and does not contain kitniyot.

Please note the following alerts, which are included in the update. Page numbers refer to The Really Jewish Food Guide 2012.
Dr Oetker Plain Chocolate Chips, listed as approved Parev on p.35, have changed formulation and are now approved Dairy.
Dr Oetker Fine Cook's Dark and Extra Dark Cooking Chocolate are approved Dairy. These have replaced Continental Plain and Continental Extra Dark, which are listed as approved Parev on p.41.
Organic Village Grape Juice is not KLBD certified. Any logo on this product is unauthorised.
Rainbow Dust Edible Blossoms and Edible Butterflies now contain E120 and are therefore Not Kosher.

Since going to press, Del Monte Fruit Burst Five Fruit Citrus Drink, listed as approved Parev on p.89, now contains grape juice and is therefore Not Kosher. You are advised to check the ingredients of all varieties of Del Monte Fruit Burst Drinks, to ensure that grape juice has not been added.

It has come to our attention that samples of Kellogg’s All Bran Golden Crunch have been delivered to houses in some parts of Manchester.
Please be advised that this cereal is NOT kosher approved and therefore should not be used.

Woodpecker Cider, listed as approved Parev on p.113 of The Really Jewish Food Guide 2011, has changed formulation and is Not Kosher.
Swedish Glace Pearl Lollies on sale in some kosher shops are not currently KLBD certified or kosher approved.
Walkers Meringues, listed as Supervised Dairy on p.58 of The Really Jewish Food Guide 2011, are in fact Supervised Parev.

Amendments to Sweet n Low listing on p.104-5 of The Really Jewish Food Guide 2011.
Sweet n Low Tablets listed as approved Parev, contain lactose and are therefore Dairy.
Sweet n Low Acesulfame K, listed as approved Parev, now comes in both sachets and bulk quantities. Acesulfame K Bulk is still approved Parev, but Acesulfame K Sachets contain lactose and are therefore approved Dairy.

We have been asked by the Star-K kashrut authority to inform you that Rainbow Dust Edible Stars and Edible Hearts, produced by Rainbow Dust Colours in England, bear an unauthorised Star-K symbol.
These products are not certified by Star-K nor are they kosher approved.

Calypso Jubbly Strawberry, listed as approved Parev on p.75, now contains grape juice and is Not Kosher. Old stock which does not list grape juice in the ingredient declaration is still permitted.
The following new drinks are formulated with grape juice and are therefore Not Kosher:
Calypso Rapidz Fruit Cola
Calypso Rapidz Iron Brew
Calypso Rapidz Lemonade
Ribena Juiced Up! Blackcurrant
Galfer Syrup, listed as approved Parev on p.134, has changed formulation and is now Dairy.

Kashrus alert: Southern Comfort is now 'Dairy'.
Only bottles from Ireland are approved.
The approved bottles must state 'Produce of United States of America and Ireland' on the label at the back.
If Ireland is not mentioned then it is NOT approved.

We would like to draw your attention to the following Kashrut Alerts. All page numbers refer to The Really Jewish Food Guide 2010. (Delivery of the 2011 edition is expected within the next few weeks. Details to follow.)
Dr Oetker Green Colouring listed on p.32 as approved Parev is shortly to have a new formulation. New stock will include Glycerine in the ingredients declaration and will be Not Kosher. Old stock is still approved Parev.
Baxters Mint Jelly listed on p.85 now contains White Wine Vinegar and is Not Kosher. Old stock which does not list White Wine Vinegar in the ingredients declaration is still approved Parev.
Giffard Abricot du Roussillon and Giffard Banane du Bresil liqueurs listed on p.110 as approved Parev are now Not Kosher.
