Brendan Fraser is back as tomb explorer, Rick O’Connell. The Mummy’ series continues as Rick is set to fight the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) that takes him on an epic journey from the catacombs of ancient China into the deadly Himalayas. Joined by his son Alex, wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and brother-in-law Jonathan (John Hannah), the O’Connells must stop the 2000 year old mummy before he controls the world in his unending power.
Featuring an all star cast which includes, Jet Li as the Mummy Emperor, Maria Bello as Evelyn, Michelle Yeoh as Sorceress Zi Yuan and Brenden Fraser as the legendary explorer Rick O’Connell.

As it stands this is a great film, plenty of action but it doesn't quite measure up to the first two Mummy installments. 
Maria Bello replaces the original Mrs O'connel, however she slots into the role perfectly.  The film although alittle predictable is still great escapist entertainment.  In a recent interview I read with Brendan Fraser (the lead actor) he was quoted as saying that he was really happy that this film was made for Dad's to take their kids to and enjoy together.  Having taken my kids to watch this (they both also love a good action/adventure film)  I would whole heatedly agree.
Good family fun, plenty of action, nothing too scary even a few laughs to boot.  For a knock off Indiana Jones I still give The Mummy: Tomb of the dragon emperor, two thumbs up
