BLUE BADGE SCHEME IN BARNET
Barnet Local Medical Committee LMC have raised the issue of the blue badges over the last three years. Unfortunately, GPs are not responsible for the completion of Blue Badge assessment forms and in most areas this does not happen.
Now pleased to report that Barnet Council has now agreed to take over the responsibility of assessing blue badge applications. The Council is in the process of setting up an independent assessment service for blue badge applications which it hopes will be operational from the summer. NHS Barnet will be forwarding further information about the new service is due course.
